At Charles Towne Montessori, we believe that a strong school community is built by people who invest in something larger than themselves. For 54 years, Charles Towne Montessori has relied on the generosity of our families and the broader community to help sustain and strengthen the school we all value. Our culture of giving is an expression of that shared commitment—a way for families, alumni, friends, and community partners to help nurture and preserve the Montessori environment we value so deeply.

As an independent, 501c3 nonprofit school, tuition provides the foundation of our operating budget. The generosity of our community allows us to go beyond that foundation and continue investing in the people, materials, and environment that make an authentic Montessori education possible.

We are committed to attracting and retaining exceptional Montessori guides, providing classrooms with authentic Montessori materials that are complete and well cared for, and continually developing our campus as a living prepared environment where children can explore, work, and grow.

We have two primary community giving opportunities each year:

• National Day of Giving – the first Tuesday in December

• Spring Fling – a family-centered celebration held each spring, you can purchase tickets and attend or                              become an event sponsor.

 

Why we need your help

 

The cost of educating a student at an independent school in the Charleston area can be approximately $30,000 per year, while Charles Towne Montessori’s Elementary tuition is less than half of that amount. The difference is made possible, in part, through the generosity of people who believe in the work we do.

We strive to keep tuition as accessible as possible and provide financial assistance to qualifying families. Community giving helps us balance these commitments while continuing to invest in the quality of our Montessori program.

*A corporate matching gift is a great way for a donor to considerably increase the size of his or her gift. Many companies will match gifts 1:1; some will even triple employee contributions. Contact your company's Human Resources Department to obtain the necessary forms and instructions.
