Charles Towne Montessori to
celebrate 35 years in education
Spring auction to feature art, good food, hospitality
CHARLESTON,
S.C., Feb. 14, 2008 - - Charles Towne Montessori School
will celebrate 35 years of providing a top quality Montessori
education in the Charleston area at its annual art auction
on March 1.
Tickets
to the event, dubbed the "Silver and Gold"
auction, are available for $75 each. Group discounts
also are available. There also are opportunities for
businesses to host a teacher, a table or the event.
"While
our annual spring auction has traditionally been an
event for parents, this year as we celebrate our 35th
anniversary, we want to broaden our scope to include
our extended family of friends, alumni and others throughout
the community who are interested in the inspiring educational
opportunities at Charles Towne Montessori School,"
said Head of School Edward Jackson.

Silent auction with a musical trio featuring members
of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra; Live performance
by the Drake School of Irish Dance; Live auction by
auctioneer Daniel Petterson offering items created by
Charles Towne Montessori students

Hors d'oeuvres by Duvall Catering and Event Design

Charles
Towne Montessori School, founded in 1972, is South Carolina's
only internationally accredited Montessori school. Located
in West Ashley, the school's curriculum follows the
theory of education established by Maria Montessori,
an Italian physician and educator. Charles Towne Montessori
has a diverse student body with many different religious
and ethnic backgrounds and ages ranging from six months
to 12 years.
