Charles Towne Montessori students
to sing to children at MUSC
CHARLESTON,
S.C., Dec. 11, 2007 - - More than a dozen elementary
students from Charles Towne Montessori School will sing
holiday songs 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to children in MUSC's
Medically Fragile Children's Program in the Charleston
Neck area.
A
special Santa (North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey)
is expected to be on hand to provide holiday cheer during
a pizza party that follows. The music program and party
will be held in the ARC Riverside A building on Evatt
Drive near the old Baker Hospital. For directions, phone
876-7007.
"Our
students have been preparing for weeks to sing to the
children at MUSC," said Head of School Edward Jackson,
who will direct the school's choir. "While they'll
have fun singing Christmas carols, they're also learning
about how important it is to give back to the community
through these kinds of public service performances."
