Charles Towne Montessori unveils
new logo, Web presence
CHARLESTON,
S.C., Nov. 30, 2007 - - Charles Towne Montessori School,
the state's only internationally certified Montessori
school, today unveiled a new
logoand brand as it gears up for student recruitment
for next school year.
"Our
new look expresses the excitement, passion, enthusiasm
and creativity that students get by attending Charles
Towne Montessori School," said Head of School Edward
Jackson. "As the logo suggests, we provide an education
rooted in the Montessori tradition that allows children
to develop and be challenged at their own pace."
Jackson
said the school undertook an analysis over the summer
and fall to modernize its logo and brand after engaging
parents, staff members and board members in a collaborative
process with strategic planners and communications professionals.
One
of the results of the process is a new Web site that
guides prospective parents about the offerings at the
school and helps current parents stay in touch better
with what was happening.
"Our
new Web site features our weekly newsletters, a calendar,
events and a lot of information about Montessori education.
We believe parents looking for great private schools
are first introduced through the Web and we want to
ensure we have the information they're seeking in an
attractive design."
Jackson
said the school's new look, branding and Web site were
due to collaborative efforts of three West Ashley companies:
