Charles Towne Montessori to
host world-renowned trainer
CHARLESTON,
S.C., April 2, 2010 - - World-renowned Montessori trainer
Lilian Bryan will inspire teachers and parents
at Charles Towne Montessori school in a special visit
5:30 p.m. Monday April 12. Charles Towne Montessori
is the region's oldest Montessori school and the only
one in South Carolina with an international certification.
"We're
delighted to bring an important figure in the worldwide
Montessori movement to our school," said Head of
School Edward Jackson. "Lilian participated in
setting up the very first Montessori classroom in Atlanta-
and in the South- where she gained experience working
with children for years to come."
Lilian's
many years of Montessori work have won her worldwide
recognition. She is a sought-after lecturer at Association
Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training courses
in the US and in Germany. She travels worldwide to work
with Teacher Training Centers as well as Montessori
schools, to share her many years of experience, and
to help establish a deeper understanding of the Montessori
philosophy and its educational practices. Additionally,
she works to raise public awareness of the benefits
of Montessori education for children everywhere.
"Our
teachers and families are look forward to having her
visit classrooms, and interact with our families,'"
Jackson said.

in collaboration with pianist Eszter Ablonczy, will
present Sally Albrecht's A Small Part of the World
at the school's campus, 56 Leinbach Drive, Charleston.
