JAN. 7, 2013 — Charles Towne Montessori recently unveiled a special leadership award to honor the years of service by columnist and publisher Andy Brack of Charleston. The award, called the “Andrew C. Resident artist Jaycie Rappold to teach Jackson Pollock — Hands on!!

OCT. 25, 2012 — Elementary students at Charles Towne Montessori will trade khaki and blue for some “get dirty” clothes on Thursday to experience first-hand the painting style of artist Jackson Pollock. Artist in residence and former School of the Arts instructor, Jaycie Rappold will lead the class in a lesson about Pollock’s life and his art. The lesson will entail large canvases and hand thrown paint in the style of the artist himself as well as a lesson in Abstract Expressionism, the movement for which Pollock was known. 5th annual Open House and Fall Festival to be Nov. 10

Charles Towne Montessori will host its fifth annual Open House/Fall Festival Event on Saturday, Nov. 10. Visit the school from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a tour and information about our programs. The Festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with games, food, jump castles, prizes, cake walk, live music, face painting, crafts and vendors.

CTM students prepare for April 27 opera performance

APRIL 18, 2012 — More than 50 students at Charles Towne Montessori are busy with preparations for a five-act opera they’ll perform 6 p.m. April 27 at the Scottish Rite Center in West Ashley.
