Andrew C. Brack (chair) is publishes three South
Carolina news publications: Statehouse
Report, a weekly legislative forecast; Charleston
Currents and SC
Clips, a daily news service. A weekly syndicated
columnist, Andy currently chairs and is president of
the Center
for a Better South, a regional think tank dedicated
to progressive ideas for thinking Southern leaders.
He is past president of the Rotary Club of Charleston
and the S.C. Wildlife Federation, and a past director
of the board of the National Wildlife Federation. In
2000, he was a candidate for U.S. Congress. Andy holds
a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a master's
degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. Andy lives in Charleston with his wife
and two daughters, both of whom attend Charles Towne
Montessori School. (Send

Cody
S. Jones (vice-chair) is a commercial real estate
broker in Charleston who manages several commercial
properties across the state. A past member of the CTMS
board, he has a daughter who attended the school through
sixth grade. Cody lives in Charleston with his family.
Steve
Hiott is chief financial officer of Aretec,
Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in business
processes, engineering and program/project management
and information technology program management. A graduate
of the College of Charleston, he is a certified public
accountant and certified financial planner. A
successful entrepreneur, Steve has created and successfully
sold two service-based businesses. His successes in
finance coaching for executives and privately invested
stockholders enables Steve to design "out-of-the-box"
solutions to modern business and finance challenges
faced by Aretec's government and corporate clients.
As an active Rotarian, he served at the club and district
level in grants administration, became a charter member
of the Paul Harris Society, and continues to advised
select educational and religious organizations on creative
financing strategies. Steve is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the South
Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer
Robinson is a senior account executive at Blackbaud,
Inc., where she focuses on business development,
sales management and product development. Jenny also
has sales and supervisory experience with Upstate firms,
including BB&T and Michelin. A graduate of the University
of South Carolina at Spartanburg, Jenny is a resident
of West Ashey with her husband and son, a student a
Charles Towne Montessori.
Thomas
E. Sweeny works
with businesses to help them develop and improve management.
He works with Charleston
Business Brokers to support the sales and acquisitions
of businesses, and with Waypoint Consulting as a business
consultant. Through the years, he's also provided strategic
planning and risk management services. From 1982 to
1987, he was an assistant professor of agricultural
education with Clemson University. Sweeny earned a bachelor's
degree from Knox College and a master's of marine affairs
from the University of Rhode Island. An ardent sailor,
Sweeny is active in local and state civic affairs, including
notable service as a gubernatorial appointee to the
S.C. Advisory Council on Aging and chair of the education
committee of the Rotary Club of Charleston. Tom and
